Mom of four Chrissy Teigen is looking back at the recipes in her cookbooks and can’t believe how much work they require.
During an appearance on Live with Kelly and Mark on Wednesday, Teigen admitted she no longer cooks the recipes she once shared on morning shows and published in her cookbooks.
“I used to tell people outrageous things like, Make sure to get fresh thyme and take the time to pick the leaves. And now Im like, Uhhhhh, no!’ Teigen said.
“You told us that right here on the show, Ripa laughed.
“If I make my lasagna now Im like, This is evil! I cant believe I did this to people! Teigen said.
The model and TV personality in 2023 welcomed Esti Maxine in January and son Wren Alexander Stephens via surrogate in June. She and husband John Legend already shared daughter Luna Simone, born in 2016, and son Miles Theodore, born in 2018.
“If I were to do a cookbook now it would be like 10-minute recipes because I dont cook the way I used to,” Teigen said.
“Right now we are selling products nationwide in grocery stores and Ive got my cookies and my banana bread and pancakes and waffles and those are so fun to create and then take pictures of and design the boxes, thats so much more fun to me personally,” Teigen said.
The Lip Sync Battle star admitted that writing cookbooks is hard, but she’s having fun hosting the upcoming series Chrissy & Dave Dine Out alongside Momofuku founder David Chang. On the show, the pair eat at restaurants while gossiping with their famous guests.
We’re taking the coolest people we know out for a bunch of insanely delicious meals, Teigen says in a trailer for the series, which premieres on Freeform on Jan. 24 and streams on Hulu the next day.
