Tom Cruise is getting the royal seal of approval for his Top Gun sequel Maverick from Britains Prince William and Kate Middleton.
The couple were on the red carpet with the Hollywood star for a Royal Film Performance of the movie in London.
William – a trained pilot who flew helicopters for the Royal Air Force – chatted with Cruise before viewing the film.
But it was Kate who stole the show with a stunning off-the-shoulder gown from designer Roland Mouret.
The special performance took over Londons Leicester Square and featured a replica F/A-18 Super Hornet from the film.
In Maverick Cruise returns to his classic 80s role – this time as a close-to-retirement Air Force captain training the newest Top Guns.
He co-stars with Jennifer Connelly as his new love interest and there is a role for Val Kilmers Goose, now a top admiral.
Cruise has premiered the movie already on an aircraft carrier in San Diego and at Cannes.
