Michael G. Wilson, the producer of James Bond, has shared new information about the upcoming 007 spy.
According to Deadline, Wilson explained why they were not looking to cast a young actor in the iconic role of James Bond
and why an older industry veteran will be more fitting during his remarks to the audience at a British Film Institute panel
held to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the spy franchise.
Wilson stated, Weve tried looking at younger people in the past, but trying to visualize it doesnt work. Thats why it works for a 30-something.”
All previous actors to play the legendary role, were in their 30s and 40s when they made their debuts in Bond films.
