That’s Dr. T Swift to you: Taylor Gets Honorary Degree at NYU Graduation

Taylor Swift has officially become a doctor, being granted an honorary doctorate at New York University.
The megastar was given the degree at NYUs graduation ceremony in Yankee Stadium and delivered an address to her fellow new graduates.
Swift, 32, skipped college to focus on her career and was clearly overjoyed to be graduating in The Bronx.
She told the other graduates some life lessons and thanked her parents for supporting her dreams.
Last time I was in a stadium this size, I was dancing in heels and wearing a glittery leotard. This outfit is much more comfortable, she joked.
The graduation was the biggest in NYUs history because it included 2020 and 2021’s graduates whose ceremonies were pandemic casualties.
Swift told the graduates: ‘I’m 90% sure I was invited because I have a song called 22.’
But she turned serious to say: ‘One toxic relationship can outweigh so many wonderful, simple joys.’
And she told them, in a reference to her own past. ‘You get to pick what your life has time and room for. Be discerning.’
