‘Emily In Paris’ Star Ashley Park Hospitalized In ‘Critical Septic Shock’ While On Vacation Abroad

“Emily in Paris” star Ashley Park on Friday revealed she was hospitalized with critical septic shock while vacationing in the Maldives over the New Year’s holiday.
“While on holiday in December into New Years, what started as tonsillitis spiraled into critical septic shock, which infected and affected several of my organs,” she wrote alongside several photos and videos that showed her in the hospital. She was accompanied by co-star and boyfriend Paul Forman.
“I am grateful that my health has improved despite what we had initially been told, wrote Park, 32.
As I sit here processing and recovering from the first few weeks of 2024, the only word I can think of is grateful, she wrote. Park said she was most grateful for Forman being unconditionally by my side through all this.
You calmed my fears and held me through ambulances, three foreign hospitals, a week in the ICU, scary ERs, countless scans and tests and injections, excruciating pain, and so much confusion all while we were alone on the other side of the world far from those we know, she wrote. I love you Paul. More than I can ever say.
Along with her gratitude to doctors and ICU nurses who worked tirelessly, she was also grateful for the assistance of staff at the Joali Being resort.
She thanked the resort staff for responding immediately and staying with me to provide language translations and vital support.
Park also expressed infinite thanks for her personal team of heroes back home who worked the phones to contact insurance providers, doctors, and others to help.
I hesitated to share whats been happening as Im still in the throes of recovery…but I now know Im safely on the other side of the worst, she wrote.
She also apologized for being so absent recently.
I love you all. Im healing and I promise Im gonna be okay, she wrote.
Park’s Emily in Paris co-star, Lily Collins, left an emotional comment on the Instagram post.
“I can hardly look at these without crying, Collins wrote. I love you sister and Im forever grateful youre on the other side of this and for @peforman for your incredibly huge heart and for being there every step of the way. I cannot wait to hug you both.
