Sarah Hyland confirmed she won’t be returning to host the Peacock reality dating series Love Island USA due to a conflict with another project.
The Modern Family star, 33, hosted the American spinoff of the U.K. reality series for two seasons, following her predecessor Arielle Vandenberg, who hosted the first three seasons.
Well, just got a text, Hyland joked in an Instagram Story post after the news broke.
“Im disappointed the news had to break this way but it is in fact true that I will not be returning to the island this summer. I have committed to an exciting project, that will be announced soon, that conflicts directly with the shooting dates for ‘Love Island USA’, she wrote.
“While Im sad I cant return, I hope to see lots of love this summer on Peacock this upcoming season, she wrote.
Peacock has not yet announced a replacement host for Season 6.
TMZ broke the news, and reported that Vanderpump Rules star Ariana Madix, who appeared on Love Island USA as a guest visitor last season, has been floated as a possible replacement.
