Gypsy Rose Blanchard Announces Separation From Husband Ryan Scott Anderson

Gypsy Rose Blanchard on Thursday announced she is separating from husband Ryan Scott Anderson, three months after her release from prison.
Blanchard, 32, shared the news on her private Facebook page, after she deleted her public social media profiles to stay out of the public spotlight.
People have been asking what is going on in my life. Unfortunately my husband and I are going through a separation and I moved in with my parents home down the bayou. I have the support of my family and friends to help guide me through this. I am learning to listen to my heart. Right now I need time to let myself find… who I am, she wrote, according to People.
Blanchard married Anderson, 37, in 2022 while still incarcerated for her part in plotting with then-boyfriend Nicholas Nick Godejohn to murder her mother, Clauddine “DeeDee” Blanchard. The couple had exchanged letters before tying the knot.
It is believed DeeDee Balnchard suffered from Munchausen syndrome by proxy, fabricating her daughter’s childhood illnesses, subjecting her to unnecessary medical treatments and forcing her to use a wheelchair for attention.
Gypsy Rose was released on parole from Chillicothe Correctional Center in Missouri in December, after serving eight years of her 10-year sentence. She was picked up at the prison by Anderson, and the pair seemed to be joyful about beginning their new life together.
But in an interview with People shortly after her release, Blanchard revealed some trepidation.
“Ive never lived with a man,” Blanchard told the outlet. “I grew up with a mom, so I didnt even grow up with a dad in the house. So Im like, I dont even know what its like to live with a man.”
She also expressed fears about marital conflict.
“I think the only fear that I have is, honestly, just making sure that we have good conflict [resolution],” she said.
“Im a very in the moment type of person, so I want to make sure if we have an argument, I want to clear it up in the moment. He is … the opposite, where he has to sit on things and think about it, and then come back a couple hours later and resolve it.”
Blanchard deleted her public social media accounts, which had millions of followers, earlier this month. According to the New York Post, it was her parole officer who convinced her to stay out of the public eye in order to avoid trouble.
The circumstances of Blanchard’s childhood, including her abuse and the killing of her mother, have been the subject of the HBO documentary “Mommy Dead and Dearest” and the Hulu scripted series “The Act.” Earlier this year, Blanchard released a book about her experience in her own words, titled Released: Conversations on the Eve of Freedom.
