Taylor Swift announced the upcoming release of “Speak Now (Taylors Version)” during her Eras Tour stop in Nashville, Tenn., Friday night.
A video shared by Twitter user @KevinFHunter shows the sellout crowd at Nissan Stadium erupting in cheers at the announcement during Fridays concert.
“Speak Now,” originally released in 2010, was nominated for Best Country Album at the Grammys, while the track “Mean” won the Grammy Awards for Best Country Solo Performance and Best Country Song.
Swift announced her plan to re-record all her early work in 2019, after music executive Scooter Braun purchased and then sold her catalog without her involvement.
Swifts sold-out Eras Tour is supporting all her albums, not only the latest, “Midnights.” Due to the pandemic, Swift was unable to tour in support of 2019s “Lover,” or 2020s “Folklore” and “Evermore.”
