The Golden Globes are back on NBC in 2023 after the network refused to air the 2022 awards show amid scandal at the Hollywood Foreign Press Association.
Tom Cruise was notably snubbed, though “Top Gun: Maverick” earned two nominations, for Best Drama and Best Original Song.
The actor returned three Golden Globe awards after it was reported in 2021 that the HFPA didnt have any Black members, among other scandals.
Will Smith, still shaking off his slap of Chris Rock at the Oscars, is also out of contention, missing out on a nomination for the Apple TV+ drama “Emancipation.”
Best Actor nominee Brendan Fraser is boycotting the ceremony after accusing the former head of the HFPA of groping him in 2003.
