Fans got a glimpse of a young Taylor Swift in a childhood production of Grease after her co-star Tobin Mitnick shared throwback photos on Instagram on Thursday.
Mitnick, 36, is now an actor and comedian, but back in June 2000 he starred as Danny Zuko alongside Swift’s Sandy Olssen in a stage production of the hit musical.
Thank you mom for digging these pics of @taylorswift and I harmonizing like buttah on summer nights twenty five years ago out of storage, Mitnick wrote alongside the photos.
Mitnick also added an apparent note to Swift’s boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.
Also trav the note is an f-sharp if youre interested. June 2000, he wrote.
Swift can be seen in a big, curly, blonde wig and strapless black top, evoking the late Olivia Newton John, who starred in the 1978 film. Mitnick, meanwhile, can be seen in a black tee and a black leather jacket taking on the role played by John Travolta in the film.
The Grammy-winning songstress is known to be a Grease fan, after her friend Gigi Hadid shared a video in 2016 of Swift singing along to Grease: Live, a TV remake starring starring Joe Jonas, ex-boyfriend to both women, along with Vanessa Hudgens, Julianne Hough, Keke Palmer, and Mario Lopez. Swift was singing along to Hough’s version of “Hopelessly Devoted To You.”
