Sacha Baron Cohen and Isla Fisher on Friday announced they are divorcing after more than 20 years together.
After a long tennis match lasting over twenty years, we are finally putting our racquets down. In 2023 we jointly filed to end our marriage, they said in statements on their Instagram Stories, alongside a humorous photo of themselves in tennis whites.
We have always prioritized our privacy, and have been quietly working through this change, they wrote. We forever share in our devotion and love for our children. We sincerely appreciate your respecting our familys wish for privacy.
Fisher, 48, and Baron Cohen, 52, met back in 2001, before they both skyrocketed to fame a few years later. Fisher rose to prominence for her role in 2005’s Wedding Crashers, while Baron Cohen’s hit Borat came out in 2006.
The pair became engaged in 2004, and welcomed the first of their three children in 2007. They married on March 15, 2010.
Just days before their announcement, Australian actress Rebel Wilson released her memoir, Rebel Rising, in which she claims Baron Cohen sexually harassed her during the filming of the 2016 comedy Grimsby, in which she played his girlfriend. Baron Cohen has denied the allegations.
