Billie Eilish is the latest artist to appear as a playable character in Fortnite Festival, a music-based expansion of the popular game Fortnite.
The 22-year-old Grammy winner teased her appearance in the game in a post Monday on X, formerly Twitter. Fortnite Festival Main Stage: 4.23.24, she wrote alongside a photo of her animated character.
On Tuesday, Epic Games released additional details for Fortnite Festival Season 3, which kicks off Tuesday and ends on June 13 at 12 a.m. ET.
Fortnight Festival is a rhythm game similar to Rock Band, developed by Rock Band maker Harmonix and published by Epic. The musical mode was created to expand the wildly popular Fortnite, known for its Battle Royale mode. Players can access the Main Stage to play a song, or the Jam Stage to create their own mashups of multiple songs.
Players can also complete Festival Quests to earn Festival Points and progress in the Festival Pass. They’ll be able to unlock new instruments, including the Billie Eilish-themed Burial Mic and Sleeper Keys Starter, and new Jam tracks.
A Season 3 Festival Pass includes a free reward track and a Premium Reward Track upgrade, and players who purchase the upgrade will automatically receive the Green Roots Billie Outfit. The final reward on the Premium Reward Track is a music-reactive Ultraviolet Style for Green Roots Billie, an alt style exclusive to the Season 3 Festival Pass.
Eilish hit Oxytocin is one of four unlockable Jam tracks, along with Maps by Maroon 5, Friday I’m In Love by The Cure, and 5 Seconds of Summer by Youngblood. Three more Eilish songs are available for purchase in the Jam Shop: “all the good girls go to hell, “Happier Than Ever – Edit,” and “Therefore I Am.”
Later during Season 3, a new Billie Eilish Outfit and Jam Tracks from her new album will be added to the Shop.
Eilish’s new album, Hit Me Hard And Soft, comes out on May 17.
